Africa Day will launch a week-long celebration of African culture and heritage in Limerick on Monday 21 May at City Hall. Ormston House is delighted to host a special African Drumming Circle with David Idioh on Thursday 24 May from 6.30-8pm. This is our second event in collaboration with Africa Day 2018 following World Recipe Exchange: Cameroonian Coffee (with delicious pof-pofs) and we look forward this time to African rhythms and melodies.
There will also be an African Cup Football Tournament, run with assistance from the FAI and An Garda Síochána on Saturday 26 May, and a Family Fun Day hosted in the Milk Market on Sunday 27 May featuring music, crafts, entertainment and food. Africa Day Limerick is presented by Limerick City & County Council and Doras Luimní, and supported by Irish Aid. Suitable for all ages and levels. Admission is free and all are welcome.
