Culture Night 2017
Ormston House is looking forward to participating in Limerick’s Culture Night 2017 programme. Join us on Friday 22 September for three events to celebrate the diversity of arts and culture in the city.
World Recipe Exchange, Bedford Row, 5-11pm
World Recipe Exchange explores international culinary traditions of contemporary Limerick: the ingredients, recipes, stories and memories of smells that carry with us through our lives. We invite you to join us for a special public space event to discover new tastes and share delicious recipes. World Recipe Exchange is supported by the European Cultural Foundation R&D Grant and Limerick City & County Council.
EVA International present Meredith Monk’s Ellis Island, 6-7pm
EVA International, in partnership with Ormston House, presents Ellis Island by Meredith Monk. The film was originally presented at EVA 2012 and is being retrieved from the archive for a special Culture Night screening, made possible by Video Data Bank. Monk is an artist, composer, and musician, who has exhibited and performed internationally since 1960s.
Nile St. James, 8-10pm
Ormston House is delighted to host an intimate concert with Nile St. James for Culture Night. Join the Limerick soul and folk singer/songwriter as he previews new original material ahead of his Irish tour in October. Early arrival is recommended as places are limited.
Admission is free & donations are welcome.
