Limerick Environmental Network
This event has been postponed. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Ormston House will host the March Meet-up of the Limerick Environmental Network on Thursday 19 March 2020 at 7pm. Participants will review planned actions and events for the Rally around the River in April and May.
For many years now, many disparate individuals and groups have been undertaking tremendous work to protect, strengthen, enhance and celebrate the largest river system on this island. Limerick Environmental Network have decided to call a rally around the river – an opportunity to bring these groups and people together to start collaborating and coordinating our shared stewardship of the River Shannon and the human communities dependent upon it.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
What is the Limerick Environmental Network?
A platform to connect all the environmental groups and individuals interested in the environment in Limerick City and County. Local Environmental Networks (LENs) are made up of individuals with interests in a wide range of environmental issues. They provide a central hub around which people from a given county can gather, discuss projects, ask for help, create change and become involved in their local Public Participation Network. All around the country LENs are being used to bring people together, create meaningful projects for the local community and impact the wider surroundings. We hope that through this group you can connect with more people in your community and together we can work to make a sustainable city and county.
