Jennifer Moroney-Ward

The Workspace Social is back in 2018! We are delighted to welcome Jennifer Moroney-Ward, CEO of Learning Hub Limerick and Founder of The Limerick Spring – Festival of Politics and Ideas, on Thursday 8 February.

Over lunch, Jennifer will chat about moving to Limerick, setting up the Learning Hub Limerick (and the challenges of the community & voluntary sector), and the theme of this year’s Limerick Spring: Hope in Uncertain Times. We will be asking people how they feel they can be activists in their own lives.

Admission is free and all are welcome. Don’t forget to bring your lunch!

About Jennifer Moroney-Ward:

Jennifer Moroney-Ward moved to Limerick 12 years ago. She is CEO of Learning Hub Limerick, a unique community education centre based a stone’s throw from Thomond Park, serving children and families in and around the northside of Limerick City. Jennifer founded the Limerick Spring – Festival of Politics & Ideas in 2014 and together with a very active volunteer committee set about creating a fun way to celebrate civic engagement and activism. The Limerick Spring celebrates the role of the citizen while also offering the people of Limerick creative opportunities to share their solutions, ideas and hopes for the future of our city and the world.  This year’s theme is Hope in Uncertain Times.

About the Workspace Social:

The Workspace Social is a weekly event developed as an alternative format for artists’ talks and networking. Every Thursday, a local or visiting artist is invited to join us for lunch: to discuss a recent project, to share new research or to propose an activity. Participants are welcome to bring along their lunch and to eat with the artist.
