Limerick Underground has organised a city river information session – a relaxed and informative evening about the River Shannon that flows through the heart of Limerick. The aim of the evening is to engage our communities in learning more about the city river and to plan for activities in 2018.
Speakers and topics include:
Pat Lysaght: Ardnacrusha currents, city tides & their impact on the river.
Dr. Will O’Connor (Ecofact): Ecology – flora and fauna of the lower Shannon.
Limerick Riverpath Volunteers: How to care for our city river.
Ruairí Ó Conchúir: The role of Local Authority Waters & Communities Office.
SwimAbleLimerick: Planning for activities in 2018.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
