Everybody else is doing it, so why can’t we? For this week’s Workspace Social, Tom Collins will talk about his recent project Love Letters from Limerick and the Cranberries-inspired artwork now on permanent display at Limerick Institute of Technology. Tom has also invited collaborators Eoin Barry (Limerick/Derry) & Seann Glaspy (California) to share their thoughts and experiences of the art of sign-painting, walls jams & other stories.
Admission is free and all are welcome. Don’t forget to bring your lunch!
Tom Collins began his career as an artist before formally training as a craftsman specialising in unique and original sign-writing. Known for his attention to detail, Tom has a genuine love for his craft and respect for tradition. He is an award-winning shop-front designer and sign-writer with an old-fashioned, professional approach that shows in everything he does; from his elegant design process, to his patient selection of materials, to his thorough study of clients’ requirements. Tom is passionate about his craft and about his designs. He takes the time to produce work that is unique and original.
About the Workspace Social:
The Workspace Social is a weekly event developed as an alternative format for artists’ talks and networking. Every Thursday, a local or visiting artist is invited to join us for lunch: to discuss a recent project, to share new research or to propose an activity. Participants are welcome to bring along their lunch and to eat with the artist.
