Programme

World Recipe Exchange

World Recipe Exchange is a programme of food events with a large sprinkling of solidarity. We are bringing people together to explore the diverse international culinary traditions of our city.

The starting point – food – is a rich, adventurous, colourful and tasty area to explore. It is a concept easy to engage with, whether by contributing a recipe, an ingredient, a story, or simply by tasting and listening. Once we gather at our common table, bit by bit, bite by bite, we get to know each other.

How does it work? How can I join?

* Taking part in World Recipe Exchange is free for all.

* We provide all materials, pay for the ingredients, organise a space to cook the dish, and print copies of your recipe to share with others.

* We decorate the space to make it an inviting and relaxing place to spend time.

* We invite the public to join us at our event location: we meet new people, taste new dishes, share recipes and celebrate our cultural diversity.

Visit our News page for information about recent events including: World Recipe Exchange on Culture Night (22 September 2017); World Recipe Exchange at Culture & Chips (14 October 2017); World Recipe Exchange & Migrationlab (18 November 2017); and World Recipe Exchange at Celebrating Traditions (23 November 2017).

If you would like to learn more or take part, you can contact Marta here or follow World Recipe Exchange on Facebook here.

Admission is free and all are welcome.
