Ormston House will participate in the next Trans Europe Halles meeting at Zentralwerk in Dresden. TEH is a network of international cultural centres initiated by citizens and artists. The mission is to strengthen the sustainable development of non-governmental cultural centres and encourage new initiatives by connecting, supporting and promoting them. TEH facilitates international co-operation, provides opportunities for learning and sharing, and promotes the practice, impact and value of arts and culture.

Organised twice a year and hosted by a different member centre each time, TEH meetings are a source of inspiration and a birthplace for new collaborations. They are also the opportunity for members to meet and discover new countries and cultural centres. In May 2019, Zentralwerk will host the next TEH annual meeting in the form of a conference focusing on arts and participation. The aim is to share and exchange methods for activating civil society and independent creative and cultural actors through artistic means and strategies, the training of stakeholders and the development of recommendations for action for the cultural and creative industries.
