VAI Get Together

 In Uncategorised

The Visual Artists Ireland Get Together 2017 will take place on Friday 15 September at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin.

The focus of this year’s programme is The Freedom to Make and will include keynote speakers Marie Korpe and Ole Reitov, co-founders of Freemuse, the world’s leading organisation defending artistic freedom. They will discuss how personal, political, religious and social attitudes impact on ideas, test the limitations of freedom of artistic expression, and address how violations can be monitored.

Co-Director Mary Conlon will participate in the Speed Curating event and you can meet Co-Director Niamh Brown and Culture Team member Michelle Ryan at the Ormston House table in the Visual Artists’ Café.

Friday 15 September, 9am-5pm

You can find the full programme of artists’ talks, clinics, and panel discussions here. See you there!
