Lori Goldston

Ormston House is delighted to present a performance by cellist, composer, and improviser Lori Goldston. Classically trained and rigorously de-trained, Lori’s work moves freely across borders that separate genre, discipline, time, and geography. Lori has collaborated with many groups, including Earth, Nirvana, Mirah, and others.

Her work has been commissioned by and/or performed at the Kennedy Center, Sydney Festival, Cineteca Nacional de México, and other venues large and small throughout North America, Mexico, Australia, and Europe.

Join us for the concert on Sunday, 5 May 2024 at 7pm. Tickets are €10 and available here.

You can find further information on Lori here.

Support on the evening will come from Icebear, a 24-year-old experimental artist from Kildare who draws inspiration in equal parts from ambience and noise. The project is primarily performance-based and uses live improvisation on electronics to explore alienation and anxiety. Icebear’s music is marked by a desire for catharsis, a love of amateurism, and an embrace of the discomfort that so often coexists with improvisation.

You can find Icebear on Bandcamp here.
