Programme
What we talk about when we talk
What we talk about when we talk is a two-day seminar presenting research by postgraduate art, design and curatorial researchers at Limerick School of Art & Design (LSAD). Participants will discuss their work and experience of undertaking studies in Limerick, as we examine the role that research plays in contemporary art practice.
The Wednesday session kicks off with an artist’s tour of our current exhibition remain[s] by Pat Fitzpatrick resulting from his MA by Research at LSAD. This will be followed presentations by Evelyn Glynn (who recently exhibited Breaking the Rule of Silence at LSAD Gallery) and Emma Lucy O’Brien (LSAD research scholar at VISUAL, Carlow).
The Thursday session will continue with presentations by Dr. Pippa Little (Acting Director of LCGA and first recipient of the Shinnors Scholarship) and artists Mairead Neill, Richard Williams and Nuala O’Sullivan. The talks will be chaired by Des McMahon, artist and tutor at LSAD. Both sessions begin at 2pm sharp.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
