Speed Curating
Ormston House curator Niamh Brown will participate in the upcoming Speed Curating event organised by Visual Arts Ireland (VAI) as part of their annual Get Together.
Speed Curating allows artists to book a ten-minute, one-on-one session with a curator. In this session, the artist can introduce their practice, discuss their current work in progress, and receive feedback. This fast-paced, friendly environment creates opportunities for curators to make connections and see new bodies of work in development.
This event will take place as part of Get Together on Monday, 19 November at the Irish Museum of Modern Art. Panels will bring together national and international speakers to explore visual arts practice through the lenses of the environment, doomscrolling, exhibition making, catalogue preparation, and contemporary feminism.
VAI is the representative body for professional visual artists in Ireland. Through the delivery of networking, support, and information services, VAI assists artists and groups in developing their careers.
