Exhibition proposals: Open Call

 In Uncategorised

Ormston House is seeking exhibition proposals through our free Membership Scheme as part of our Artistic Programme in 2022. For this opportunity, we invite members to submit proposals for either a solo or group exhibition to take place from September to October at Ormston House in Limerick city.

Who?

Artists and curators, based nationally or internationally, at any stage of their professional career, are invited to submit. Ormston House welcomes proposals that take the diversity of Irish and wider society into consideration. Members with disabilities or access requirements can send access queries to info@ormstonhouse.com up to one week before the deadline. You must be a member of Ormston House to submit; you can join our free Membership Scheme here.

What?

There is no theme to this open call. Ormston House will provide a budget of up to €10,000 which can be used to exhibit existing artwork(s) and/or the completion of work-in-progress for exhibition. Proposals with a lower budget are also eligible, but artist fees must be included separate from all delivery budget lines (eg. accommodation, travel, materials, production, transport, etc.). A budget breakdown is required when submitting your application.

When?

The deadline for proposals is Friday 29 July 2022 at 5pm. Late submissions will not be processed. Submissions exceeding 20MB will not be processed. The selected artist/curator will be notified at the beginning of August, and the exhibition will take place from early September until late October 2022 (exact dates to be agreed).

Where?

The exhibition will take place at Ormston House, Cultural Resource Centre, 9-10 Patrick Street, Limerick city. The team will support the artist/curator in all aspects of exhibition delivery including preparation, exhibition design and installation. We will promote the exhibition, and share documentation on our website and through social media channels.

How?

Please email proposals to info@ormstonhouse.com with the subject heading: “Exhibition proposal”. Proposals should be submitted in a single PDF document (max. 20MB) including the following:
