Over the past month, the Ormston House team has been working with Matthew O’Rourke, a student of Mary Immaculate College (MIC). O’Rourke is on placement here and will join us until the end of the year.

During his placement, O’Rourke will gain an insight into the workings of Ormston House, assist with delivery of the current programme, and contribute to preparations for our activities in 2025.

O’Rourke is a writer and performer currently pursuing his BA in Drama & Theatre and English at MIC. He is a Young Curator of Lasta Theatre Festival 2025 with the Lime Tree Theatre and Belltable. His poetry and fiction have been featured in VIBE, Spiritus Mundi Review, and The Cloudscent Journal. His most recent performances include his first piece written for stage, ‘Us, The Beneath’ in MIC’s FemFest; and Mary Immaculate Dramatic Arts Society’s production of Into the Woods.
