Superprojects: Professional Development Programme

 In Uncategorised

Superprojects, an arts initiative for young audiences, will soon commence their Professional Development Programme for 2025. The curriculum is aimed at equipping recent graduates with the skills needed to confidently navigate successful careers as visual artists.

Ormston House, alongside the National College of Art and Design and Clancy Quay Studios, will collaborate with Superprojects to deliver this programme.

Beginning in October 2025, the overall programme will include in-person and online seminars, site and studio visits, and mentoring and feedback sessions, with knowledge-sharing and peer-to-peer collaborations encouraged. Themes of the seminars will include time management, how to approach artist talks and presentations, studio visits, networking, how to write excellent applications, tax and finance for artists, documenting your work, and more.

The programme aims to aid participants in the building of a strong peer network and increased confidence in their careers, bridging the gap between university and the professional world.

Superprojects is an initiative for young audiences that generates possibilities for creative encounters with contemporary art and artists. Its work includes school-based workshops, artist residencies, commissions, and other programmes that open up the richness of national and international contemporary art practice to young participants whilst actively fostering their development as meaning-makers and artists.

The Professional Development Programme is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland.
