The Blindboy Podcast
Ormston House will host The Blindboy Podcast live with special guests Aideen Barry and Strange Boy, curated by El Reid-Buckley as part of the 2022 conference for the International Association for the Study of Irish Literatures. The conference is organised by the University of Limerick and this year’s theme is Intersectional Irelands. Please note: this event is fully booked.
The annual conference comes to the University of Limerick in July 2022, for the second time in its 52-year history. The largest professional organisation in the field, the conference brings together Irish studies scholars from all over the world, with Brazilian and Japanese, as well as European and North American universities particularly well represented. Keynote speakers at the conference include Sara Baume, Blindboy Boatclub, Sarah Clancy, Helena Close, Emily Cullen, Felispeaks, William Keohane, Rosaleen McDonagh, and Donal Ryan.
This year’s conference theme speaks not only to the growing diversity of Irish literary research but to the rapid changes in Irish culture and society in recent decades. It is particularly apt that the conference this year is held in Limerick, a city that prides itself on its diversity and the strength of local community solidarities.
Our thanks to the artists, El Reid-Buckley, Dr. Tina O’Toole, and Dr. Aileen Dillane.
