Shirani Bolle and Alice Harrold

We are delighted to announce that Shirani Bolle and Alice Harrold have joined our Artist Affiliate Scheme.

Shirani is a self-taught multimedia artist working primarily with textiles and performance. With a background in theatre, her practice weaves together visual and performative elements, exploring identity politics, particularly looking at sociopolitical issues, race, and trauma through personal and cultural histories. Her work has appeared in Ormston House as part of the 2024 edition of The Limerick Show.

Alice is a recent graduate from Limerick School of Art and Design (TUS) with a BA in Fine Art Painting. She has also worked with both sculpture and textiles. Her practice now revolves around translating her experiences into imagery and media others could relate to. Alice was selected through an open call for recent graduates through our Membership Scheme.

We look forward to working with and supporting Shirani and Alice over the next twelve months.

The Artist Affiliate Scheme, previously the Artist-in-Residence Scheme, is a support mechanism for artists based in the Limerick region and is tailored to the needs of the individual artist.
