Guest Curator: Open Call

 In Uncategorised

Ormston House is seeking exhibition proposals from curators through our free Membership Scheme as part of our artistic programme in 2023. For this opportunity, we invite members to submit proposals to curate a solo or group exhibition to take place from November 2023 to January 2024 in Limerick City.

Who?

Curators based nationally or internationally at any stage of their professional career are invited to submit. Ormston House welcomes proposals that take the diversity of Irish and wider society into consideration. Members with access requirements can send access queries to info@ormstonhouse.com up to one week before the deadline. You must be a member of Ormston House to submit; you can join our free Membership Scheme here.

What?

There is no theme to this open call. Ormston House will provide a curator’s fee of €3000 and an exhibition budget of up to €10,000 which can be used to exhibit existing artwork(s) and/or the completion of work-in-progress for exhibition.  Proposals with a lower budget are also eligible, but artist’s and curator’s fees must be included separately from all delivery budget lines (e.g. accommodation, travel, materials, production, transport, etc.). A budget breakdown is required when submitting your application.

If your proposal requires specialist technical support, please include this in your budget. The team will support the curator in all aspects of exhibition delivery including preparation, installation, documentation, and facilitating the opening reception. If your proposal requires specialist technical support, please include this in your budget.
