Unapologetic Magazine

 In Uncategorised

Ormston House is part of the team supporting Sandrine Uwase Ndahiro and Gareth Brinn in realising their ambition for Unapologetic, a new magazine to amplify under-represented voices in Ireland. Unapologetic will showcase the cultural richness and multiple heritages defining contemporary Ireland today, and seeks to cherish these voices through celebratory and critical engagement, by putting them in conversation with one another. The inaugural call for submissions on “Change Makers” is now open.

“With this magazine, we want to capture a historical moment in the era of BLM, Marriage Equality and Repeal the Eighth, as we move to a new definition of what it means to be Irish. All these intersectional ideas of change are contributing to modern discussions of contemporary Ireland. This magazine will give people from minority and diverse backgrounds a space to be unapologetically themselves while simultaneously highlighting the social issues we see and experience in Irish society today. Your voice matters.”

You can read the call for submissions here. The deadline is 31 July 2021.
