Olivia Chau

 In Uncategorised

For this month’s Limerick Lady podcast, Olivia Chau shares how she stepped into the male-dominated world of DJing with a little help from her friends. She offers advice to aspiring DJs and some insight into the industry for those of us curious about how it works.

Olivia is also a Craic Mechanic with Sing Along Social, a no-commitment choir for people who can’t sing well. And in 2020, she started her own radio show called Don’t Kill The Beat on Limerick City Community Radio, which you can listen to every Wednesday night from 7-8 pm on LCCR.ie. She is also the host of the new podcast, Chancers with Olivia Chau, interviewing people running club nights in Limerick.

You can listen to Olivia Chau: Craic Mechanic here.

The Limerick Lady is a grassroots movement aimed at promoting discussion around gender, gender balance, and the visibility of women artists. The podcast is hosted by Ann Blake and Emma Langford, with support from the Limerick Post and the Feminist Supermarket at Ormston House.
